Text: John 14:19

Jesus Christ made so many profound statements when He was on earth. Nobody ever talked like He did with so much authority. He spoke words that the learned, the scribes and Pharisees could not even mutter. People were amazed at His words. But the most amazing thing is that, whatever He says were words that cannot be refuted. They are realities that we can hold unto tangibly.

One of His amazing statement  is found in John 14:19. He said "because I live, ye shall live also." Wow! What a statement. So assuring. Jesus was not just saying this statement because He doesn't have what to say. But He is making us understand that as long as He is alive, as long as death cannot hold Him bound, as long as the grave cannot pin Him down, we will continue to enjoy His life.

No wonder He said in John 10:10, "...that I have come that they might have life and have it in abundance." He is alive, He defeated death. So don't be afraid, you shall live also, not only in this world but in the world to come as long as you have His life in you. Glory to God! So now we can boldly say, death where is the sting, grave where is thy victory? Why? Because He lives, we live also. Hallelujah!!!
