Winning Wisdom: He Wants To Find Faith

...when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? Luke 18:8

Of utmost importance to Jesus is the faith we have put in Him - this is why He came. The faith we have in Jesus is the gateway for us to be sons of God and recipients of eternal life (John 1:12, 3:16). Faith in Him is what Jesus is going to look out for when he comes back for His people. He asked: "when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?" (Luke 18:8) Will Jesus find faith on earth? He wants to find it when He returns. He wants, if possible, the whole world to put the faith in Him.

Jude admonished us to earnestly contend for the faith - the faith Jesus is so desperate to find when He returns, which was delivered unto us (Jude vs3). Why? Because certain men, whose aim is to wipe out the faith have crept into our midst (Jude vs4). These guys are ordained for eternal condemnation, but they don't want to go alone. They want to extinguish the faith of unsuspecting people. They are teachers and preachers who do not point people to Christ but rather, encourage them to live in sin without the sense of consequence (1 John 4:2, Jude vs5-7 TLB).

But we must vehemently oppose them by pointing the people to Christ and telling them about the consequence of sin. Christ must be the Centre of our message. If it is not Christ, then we must be silent. And just like the faith was delivered unto us through the preaching of Christ, we must deliver it unto people and admonish them to deliver it also to other people (2 Timothy 2:2). With this, Jesus will find faith when He comes.

Keep winning daily.

Prayer:

Dear Lord, thank You for the truth of Your gospel which has brought faith to me. I leverage on Your grace, to earnestly contend for this faith and delivery it to others, shutting out men who want to extinguish the faith of people, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
