And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. Revelation 1:6
One of God's major reasons for creating man is to extend His dominion from heaven to the earth. God, Who is Spirit, cannot dwell in a physical world. So He created a physical being called man, so that He could, through the inhabitation of man, exercise His dominion on earth. So, when scriptures say we are made kings unto God, it does not mean we will be reigning over God, but we will be reigning in His stead on earth; for His glory and dominion forever.
This domination of God was first threatened by Satan in heaven. Satan wanted to usurp God's kingship, but he was duly thrown down from heaven unto the earth (Ezekiel 28:14-19). Falling from heaven, he set out to have the earth for himself. Satan deceived Adam into giving up his position and dominion to him. No wonder Satan said to Jesus in Luke 4:6 "all this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: FOR THAT IS DELIVERED UNTO ME; and to whomsoever I will I give it."
But Jesus Christ came to reclaim what Adam delivered to Satan. And now, any man that puts faith Him - the King - is made a king by Jesus to express God's domination on earth. For He "hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth" (Revelation 5:9-10). No wonder He is now called the King of kings and Lord of lords. Jesus is King, so are we. He is Lord; therefore we are lords. What He is, we are. He is still saying "I am, you are." Hallelujah!
Keep winning daily.
Prayer:
I am who God has made me to be. My dominion has been restored. My kingship is established. I am reigning here on earth for my King. I am not seeding my domain to Satan. My kingdom is established forever, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
