Winning Wisdom: Stay In Position

Topic: Stay In Position [Thursdays, 3rd Nov. 2016.]

For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. Colossians 1:9

As believers and people who are subject to God's leading, it is important we always stay in the place God has chosen for us. Any place outside His choiced location is a place characterized with struggle and fruitlessness. You cannot find favour when you are outside the Father's choice place for you.

In Luke 15, Jesus told the story of the prodigal son. This story shows us bluntly what happens when you are out of the place God wants you to be. He - the prodigal son - ended up in lack not really because he spent all his fortune, but because he was outside his father's provision. In the place of God's position for you is your provision. When you stay in the place where God wants you to be, you will never lack supply.

Some of us are too quick to change church; move out of a job; without knowing if it is in God's plans for us to do such. We need to know and understand what God wants us to do and where he wants us to be (Colossians 1:9). Elijah was somebody who enjoyed the Father's provision simply by obeying simple instructions. Wherever he was instructed to move to, he did so promptly; so that he never experienced lack supply, even when there was famine.

Today, make a commitment to follow His leading; to be only where God will have you be. When you do this, you are assured of increase and fruitfulness, as scriptures say: "...being fruitful in every good work, and increasing...(Colossians 1:10). For you who have strayed away; God's arms are wide open to receive you back. Trace your steps back to the place He wants you to be. That's the only place you can flourish.

Keep winning daily.

Prayer:
Dear Lord, You chose me, You preferred me, You loved me and You helped me. I choose your ways and I will stay in the place you want me to be always, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
