The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working]. James 5:16b AMP
The power of the Holy Spirit is very vital to the effective and optimal functionality of God's children, even as you embark on taking new territories for God this year. Without the power of the Holy Spirit being in optimal functionality in and through you, the goal of expanding your sphere of influence may just hit the rock. And that is not God's plan for you. God has chosen and ordained you for expansion. This is why you must be primed to function effectively, thus, making the power of the Holy Spirit available for use is paramount.
One of the beautiful things about prayer is that it is not just a medium to have a heart to heart talk with the Lord, but it is also a medium to make available, for effective use, the power of God in us. Notice I said the 'power of God in us'. The day you received the Holy Spirit, God's power was released to you. That same power that raised up Jesus from the grave is in you. But you have to make it available for use through prayer.
The apostles emphasized the need for prayers by choosing to keep giving themselves to prayer and ministering the Word instead of serving tables, to resolve the complain of the Grecians in Acts 6. Also we see how important prayer is to the power of God being effectual in and through us in Acts 4:31-33. Scriptures record that after the apostles prayed and where filled with the Holy Spirit, "with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus..." (vs33). Give yourself to prayer for "the earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working]" James 5:16b AMP.
Keep winning daily.
Wise Action:
Spend time with the Lord in prayers. Pray mostly in tongues.
