A Promise For You From Bible Promises:
Topic: Let Your House Be Filled
When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. Matthew 12:43-44
One of the major reason why Jesus told that man in John 5:14 to go and sin no more, lest, worse thing come upon him was because, when an unclean is cast out of an unclean man, that unclean spirit moves about looking for where to stay. And if he finds no place, he will come back to check where he left whether that follow has touch unclean thing again. Jesus said if that happens, he go and get seven more dangerous evil spirits to join him in that person's life and the end of that man will be worse than the beginning. Verse 45. Even evil spirit knows that, there is power in numbers. Eccl. 4:9-12
Now, I concluded with a question yesterday, how can I continue to keep my house (heart) clean? To continually keep your house clean is to continue to keep your house (heart) filled. With what? With God's word. Feeding and practicing God's word daily chase away unrighteousness and establish you in righteousness. David asked similar question in Ps. 119:9, then, he answered it in verse 11, "Through Your word O LORD". God's word is the greatest tool to keeping your heart clean.
* A lifestyle of holiness is the key to freedom from uncleanliness
