Winning Wisdom: Our Sufficiency

Winning Wisdom
Topic: Our Sufficiency [22/2/2016]
Text: 2 Corinthians 3:5

Every act of a Christian that is done without the help of the Holy Spirit, not only puts such actions off the grid of eternal effect but also means it won't receive any reward from God. We are not our own and so are our actions not entirely tied to our effort. Why is this important, so that we can channel the praises to God when it starts pouring in.

God is our sufficiency. Without Him, our productivity will never be optimal and cannot be eternally relevant. It will be short-lived and overrun by events. But when He is in the picture, supplying the sinew, we make great strides and become eternally relevant. John 15:5 says "...for without me ye can do nothing."

One beautiful thing that happens if God is our sufficiency is that, we become limitless in our output, our "can-do" list will know no bound. Why? Because "God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work" ( 2 Corinthians 9:8). He makes you sufficient, i.e, productive in ALL THINGS. That's the blessed reality of having God as our sufficiency.

Rely on God today as your sufficiency and keep winning daily.

Prayer:

Dear Lord, I put all my trust in Your ability, knowing that You are my sufficiency. It is You Who makes me productive in all I do and I return all the praises to You, in Jesus name. Amen.
