As a result of Christ’s resurrection, believers are quickened (that is, alive) with Him and made to sit with Him in heavenly places where sinners, sin and consequences of sins are not allowed to operate. The Bible says:
“But God who is rich in mercy, for the great love wherewith He loved us, even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) and hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: that in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.” – Ephesians 2:4-7
Believers are quickened and raised by the Holy Spirit at the same time Jesus Christ was raised. If you are saved, you are raised. Every saved believer is a raised believer. If you are raised; you have been made to sit together with Christ in heavenly places. The implication of this is that it is absurd for the operations and experiences of a believer to be earthly.
Where you sit defines what you have “settled down” with and what you have “settled down” for. Where you “sit” spiritually defines whether you are blessed or not (Psalm 1:1). Sitting with Christ in heavenly places does not just make your experiences heavenly but places you above all activities below the heavenly realm. Please note that satan and all his cohorts operate below the heavenly realm. There is no place found for satan and his fallen angels in heaven (Revelation 12:7-8).
Resurrection puts believers far above all the forces of the kingdom of darkness. The Bible says:
“And what is the exceeding greatness of His power to us ward who believe, according to the working of His mighty power, which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality, and power and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: and put all things under his feet, and gave him to be head over all things to the church, which is the body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all.” – Ephesians 1:19-23
By the exceeding greatness and His mighty power which He wrought in Christ, believers are far above witches, wizards and all evil forces. Believers are far above all the works of evil; sin, sickness, disease, oppression, depression, satanic possession etc. Therefore, believers are not to fear what the world is afraid of. If you are a believer, let this mind be in you; create this mental picture in you that you are not operating in the natural realm. You are far above the natural realm!
Let this truth provoke ‘holy anger’ in you to send every evil hanging around you back to the sender.
