Topic: Walking In His Steps 2 [24/3/2016]
Text: Ephesians 2:10
Jesus understood, in all its ramifications, the enormousness of the task He was faced with. He knew how to go about it. He understood the importance of a team. That was why He set out early to assembly a team of misfit, you might call it. He equipped them with the right information, showed them His operational methods so he could as well send them out in His stead. So He told them in John 20:21 "...as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you." But one thing Jesus made clear to them is the oneness of the mission at hand.
We must understand, as we walk in the steps of Jesus, the individuality and the collectivity of the task at hand. The eternal redemption of mankind, is a synergy of individual missions sync together to make the whole. Ephesians 4:4-6 says "there is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; ...and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all." Even though God is in all individually, we work for one calling and are part of one body, the body of Christ.
So as individuals, we must not stray on our own in a bid to fulfill the mandate upon us. We must align ourselves with the whole. Even as different denominations, we all must align together into the collective as we play our parts in the eternal redemption of mankind. The task is onerous, and it's enormousness cannot be downplayed.
Let's join the collective and keep winning daily.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank You for making us understand the importance of joining forces and closing ranks for the mandate You have given us. I pray that every one of us, align together, as You have said we should for the sake of the eternal redemption of mankind, now in Jesus name. Amen.
