Gentleness, not weakness but strength Pt three

A Promise For You From Bible Promises: [26/07/2016]

Topic: Gentleness, not weakness but strength Pt three

And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. 1 Corinthians 14:32. Read: 1 kings 2:23-25

Now, knowing that you're a lion being a child of a lion is not enough, much more than that is being able to control the wrath of the lion inside of you. Every amateur driver will end up in a fatal accident because of the inability to control the wheel. Power is liken to a vehicle steering and anyone that will handle it must be a professional. This is why before God releases His power to any of His children, he/she must be broken and contrite in spirit because, "Brokenness leads to gentleness". In this dispensation, God is not ready to raise another Elisha who was not broken before he received double portion of power and ended up producing two bears from the wood which destroyed 42 children. Power can be controlled by meekness and gentleness. Men of power don't talk too much because of the power in their tongue. The control for an abuse of power is gentleness. Remember, 'An empty barrel makes the loudest noise, but the filled barrel remain immovable and makes no noise

When Elisha finally understood the power through brokenness and gentleness and the purpose of power, he no longer abused it but used it for its purpose - to help even the enemies. The Bible tells in 2 Kings 6 that when the Syria armies trapped Samaria, Elisha prayed to God to blindfold them and He did it. When he got to the king, God opened their eyes, they ate food, and they were sent away. As a result of what Elisha did through meekness, the Syria armies desist from terrorising Samaria.

* As you display gentleness and wisdom, May your enemies flee in Jesus Name.
