Expectations as 2016 SWAN week kicks off October 14

As plans for this year’s social week event begin in earnest, FCT Chairman of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Comrade Kayode Adeniyi has called on members to join forces in the actualization of its lofty ideas aimed at uplifting and uniting Sporting media professionals.

Kayode who spoke when he visited the planning and Organizing Committee of 2016 SWAN week led by Mr. Ezeocha Nzeh in Abuja harped on the need for consolidated effort in galvanizing ahead of the annual programme.

Already this year’s week-long event has been scheduled between October 14 and 20.

The FCT SWAN Leader expressed satisfaction with the level of preparation so far and implored all members to join hands in making it more successful than the previous editions.

Earlier, the SWAN week Committee chairman, Mr. Nzeh had explained that high level of accountability, prudence resources management and professionalism would remain the watchword of the committee.

He however implored members to come up with fruitful suggestions that will aid in making this year’s occasion more rewarding.

The proposed SWAN week which is also aimed at encouraging Media practitioners to keep fit despite their busy daily schedule will feature sporting activities such as 5-aside aside football, Draft, Ludo, (lawn) Tennis, Table Tennis among others.

There would be special colloquium targeted at refreshing members with timely rudiments of the profession by seasoned media Gurus.
