Dear Reader,
Last week, I showed you some of the things that God wants you to do in other to experience spiritual growth in your life and family. I am still on the topic: Developing A Spiritually Strong Family.
This week, I will be showing you how to get your loved ones saved. Noah and his household were all miraculously saved, while all others were destroyed. If Noah and his household could be delivered from the flood, you and your household can also be delivered from hell fire.
God’s Word says: And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood (Genesis 7:7). How would you feel when you get to heaven and see any of your loved ones in hell? How full will your joy be? It is possible for you and your loved ones to make heaven.
When it comes to getting your loved ones saved, prayer is very important. In prayer, you are not just asking God to save that individual, but also breaking the power of sin and death over such lives, because the devil has their minds blinded. God’s Word says: …The god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them (2 Corinthians 4:4).
The devil blinds the minds of unbelievers and that is why they do not see the light of the gospel. It, therefore, takes a higher power to heal such minds. If you have an unsaved husband, wife, child or even a relative, it is your duty to command the blindfolding of the devil to be removed.
Remember, your prayer must be based on the Word of God. No prayer life is going to be successful, if it is not based on the Word of God. The manifestation of these prayers can come faster, if God’s Word is strongly rooted in you.
Also, you must recognise that the Father is the One Who draws people through the instrumentality of the Holy Spirit. God’s Word says: Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts (Zechariah 4:6). Again, Jesus said: No man can come to me except the Father which had sent me draw him (John 6:44).
You can sacrifice your meals for the salvation of your loved ones by fasting. Fasting means doing away with food for the purpose of concentration. It subdues the flesh and makes it more sensitive to God. God’s Word declared: This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting (Mark 9:29).
Your fasting, however, must be coupled with prayer and the Word. Outside of these two, fasting is mere dieting! There is no situation that prayer cannot change! At the time I became a Christian, quite a number of my relations were not saved. I simply put the above-mentioned points to work and today, to the glory of God, they are all Christians. It works like fire! Continue to pray for your loved ones and God in His infinite mercy will do His marvelous work.
In case you are reading this article today and you are not yet born again, this is the starting point. You have to be saved before you can get your loved one saved. Are you ready for your own salvation today? God’s Word says: …Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2). In order to be saved, you have to confess your sins and accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. Are you ready for this new birth experience? Please say this simple prayer in faith: “Dear Lord Jesus Christ, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me of my sins and cleanse me with Your Blood. Deliver me from sin and satan to serve the living God. I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Make me a child of God today. Thank You for accepting me into Your Kingdom”.
Congratulations! You are now born again! All-round rest and peace are guaranteed you, in Jesus’ Name. Call or write, and share your testimonies with me through contact@faithoyedepo.org; OR 07026385437 and 08141320204.
