What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it? Luke 15:4
Following Jesus is the best thing we can do in this life. But you see, there are times when we will lose our way or lose sight of Jesus. Is this possible? Very possible. When this happens to us, all hope is not lost, because our Good Shepherd is always on a rescue mission. Jesus loves us so much that He would leave the flock that are safe and go after us. Just like the young David, when Satan comes to steal us - our attention - through his deceptive voice, Jesus will always come after us to rescue us from Satan's clutches.
In John 21, Simon Peter, who was supposed to lead his brethren in the way that God has chosen for the apostles, yielded to the voice of Satan and led them instead to go fishing. But Jesus went after them on a rescue mission and redirected their focus. Scriptures say in John 21:19 - "and when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me." Jesus loves His followers and does not want to loose anyone. This is why He will always come on a rescue mission when any of His followers stray away from the path He has chosen for them.
Jesus said in John 10:27-28 - "my sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand." When He says no man will pluck you away from His hand, He means it big time. If you have strayed away from Him, He has already begun His rescue mission in your life with this devotional and He is going to complete it. And for all in the world that have strayed away from the path of life, you are rescued in Jesus' Name. Your Good Shepherd shall find you and restore you back to the fold, in Jesus' Name. Keep following Jesus.
Keep winning daily.
Prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus, thank You because I know you've always got me covered. Thank You for Your love that draws me to You always. I will always follow You as You lead the way, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
