Topic: Three Ways Believers Respond to God's Word. Pt One [30/10/2016]
But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more. Luke 12:48. Read: Isa 5:13
Knowledge becomes dormant until it is applied. You've to know before you can do or respond to what you know. Let's look at three ways some believers respond to God's Word that either makes it work or not work for them. The first category of believers and how they respond to God's Word is:
1) Those That Do Not Know God's Word. This kind of believers believe that God's Word exist and is powerful, but they don't have indepth knowledge of it because they've allowed other things to take first place in their lives instead of God's Word. They seek other things first and neglect God's Word. They always depend on other's faith to scale through challenges in life. Since they do not know, they don't do the Word. Sometimes they criticise others that know it and do it. To such people Jesus said when the storm shall come, they shall be nowhere.
In the court of law, ignorance is not an excuse for the law not to take its course on an offender. Invariably, in the Kingdom of God, such is applicable. Jesus said in the above scripture that in spite of one's ignorance of His Word, punishment awaits such fellow. Are you destitute of God's Word today? Deliberately and consciously get down on God's Word asking the Holy Spirit to open your eyes to know and do.

* Father, open my eyes to behold wondrous things from your Word to know and to do in Jesus name.
