Winning Wisdom: Fresh Start

Topic: Fresh Start [1/7/2016]
Text: Genesis 9:1-15

Sometimes, it is okay to throw your hands in the air and quit trying to make something work, especially when you've given them your best shot. It doesn't mean you are weak, but it shows your wisdom. It is wise to accept defeat in a battle, but come back stronger to win the war. No matter where life have defeated you before, you are making a victorious comeback in Jesus name. Beloved, your comeback will shock and take your foes by surprise that they will be caught off guard.

In Genesis 9, God, after been pissed off by the sins of mankind, decided to give man a fresh start. He wiped out the elements that were sinful, and started the human race again with Noah. He pronounced His blessings on them again, and made a fresh covenant with them. God was starting anew. It doesn't make God a defeated God, but He was just applying His wisdom. Even when this fresh start was messed up by the same guys, God prepared Jesus Christ to come again, to give us another fresh start. So now "if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new" (2 Cor 5:17).

You too can make a fresh start. You may be facing some difficulties in your life. You have even given all you've got to make things work out, but instead things are still the same or even getting worse. It is time to walk  away and quit trying. It is time to take a breather and restrategize. It doesn't mean you are accepting defeat, no. You are coming back to make a fresh start. It's okay to pull down the building and erect another one, after all, that was what God did with us, pulling down our old body of sin and erecting a new body of righteousness.

Make that fresh start today.

Keep winning daily.

Prayer:
I may have lost this battle, but I am winning the war. Yes I am quitting and giving up on this fight, but I am coming stronger, wiser, and better. I am making a fresh start. I am setting up my sail again. God is about to do a new thing in my life. My faith is alive and I am experiencing victory in all sides, in Jesus name.
