Topic: The Beginning Of Sorrow [21/10/2016]
For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Matthew 24:7-8. Read: Matt 24:6-13
Just the other day, Jesus disciples came to Him and asked, Tell us what shall be the sign of Your coming, and the end of the world? This questions shows that indeed, the disciples believed that Jesus would go and come back again and the world would come to an end. Vv 3.
Not to ignore and leave His disciples in dark, Jesus answered and began to enumerate the signs that would precede His second coming. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All the nations of the world are experiencing one disaster and another and Jesus went further to say, All these are the beginning of sorrows. Which means that, what we're seeing now is just a preamble what the sorrow that would before the entire world. But only in Jesus can one find lasting peace and Jesus. Jesus is the hope of glory and the world.
