And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion. (Mark 2:12)
The Jews, before Jesus Christ came on the scene, were used to the modus opurandi of the Pharisees, the scribes, and other teachers of the law. They were used to hearing dogmas without practical display. They knew God could heal, raise the dead and restore, the scribes and the teachers of the law told them these things. They read about the exploits of Moses, Elijah and Elisha to them. But they had not experienced it in the way they did when Jesus came on the scene.
When Jesus healed the paralyzed man in Mark 2, the Jews, who were questioning his suitability to forgive sins, "were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion" (Mark 2:12). Just like Jesus amazed the Jews, so also you will amaze people. You are bringing "the wow factor" to bear in your life. The wow factor is the unique element that leaves people amazed. Stuffs that leave people's mouth gaping.
Another surprising thing about Jesus was that the people knew where He came from. He was from Nazareth, where nobody of repute had emerged from. People might look down on you because of where you are from or because of what they think about you, but you are coming out with the wow factor. You will dumbfound them. The beautiful and resounding things that you will produce will leave men amazed. You've got the Instigator of the wow factor - the Holy Spirit. Be ready to produce the wow factor with regularity.
Keep winning daily.
Prayer:
I produce the wow factor. I produces surprise and spectacular works, things that people have not seen. My designs, creative works, and all that the Lord has graced me to produce shall be outstanding. I blaze new trails by the intense working of God's Spirit within and through me, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
